Neurology and Concussion Care.
Physician-directed evaluation and management of concussion and traumatic brain injury, built on hands-on neurological examination substantiated by objective testing.

Axon Medical Centers provides physician-directed evaluation, diagnostics, and rehabilitation for people recovering from accidents and injuries. Our focus is the injury that is easiest to miss and hardest to live with: traumatic brain injury, alongside the orthopedic, spine, and pain conditions that often accompany it.
Our approach
Every patient starts with a physician's clinical evaluation. Diagnosis is made by examination, history, and clinical judgment, with objective testing to substantiate what the examination finds. Treatment plans are built for the individual patient's condition and needs, adjusted as recovery progresses, and every treatment decision belongs to the patient.
Mild traumatic brain injury is missed often. In one Level I trauma center study, 56 percent of patients meeting CDC criteria for mild TBI left the emergency department without a documented diagnosis. Standard CT scans are frequently normal even when injury is present. That diagnostic gap is why our evaluation model exists, and why we maintain a public research library documenting the science behind every assessment tool we use. Explore the research →

Learn moreWhy Axon
We use validated tools, from FDA-cleared blood-based biomarker assays to standardized vestibular and oculomotor screening, so that findings rest on measurement, with the published science behind each tool documented in our research library.
Testing never substitutes for examination. Physicians decide what each patient's evaluation requires, and no test is ordered without a clinical reason.
