What the evaluation is
A comprehensive physician evaluation at Axon is a structured clinical assessment of the whole injury: history and mechanism, symptom inventory across physical, cognitive, and emotional domains, neurological and physical examination, review of imaging and laboratory findings, and assessment of how the injury affects daily function, work, and relationships.
What the evaluation produces
Three things. A diagnosis grounded in examination and evidence. A treatment plan matched to the findings, with the patient deciding what to pursue. And an accurate, thorough clinical record that documents the patient's condition, the basis for each finding, and the course of care. Careful documentation is simply good medicine: it serves the patient's continuing care with any provider, and it means the record reflects what was actually found, no more and no less.
Follow-up evaluations
Injuries evolve, and current classification guidance recommends updating a patient's assessment as their condition changes []. Follow-up evaluations re-measure the patient against their own baseline, documenting recovery where it happens and identifying persistent deficits where it does not.
